Walking is such a huge milestone for your little family. Get ready and get excited!

1. Use a toy to motivate him.

Keep your baby motivated with his favorite toys. Put one a little bit out of his reach and cheer him on to come and get it!

2. But be patient, too.

Even as you encourage your baby to make those first steps, know that he will walk when he’s good and ready. It’s great to motivate and cheer him on, but it’s even better not to worry about it too much. Make it fun and eventually he will be on-the-go — no worries!

3. Buy shoes!

It’s shoe time! Purchase those first real walkers for your baby.

4. Baby proof.

Now that your baby’s almost walking, make sure that you have everything prepared around the house for him to be safe.
